The 2015 Editorial Board consisted of  six undergraduate students, typically in their Sophistor years. The review process is done by an editorial team including academics and postgraduate students for each stream (biology, chemistry and physics). Academic staff involved in the publication sat on the Academic Oversight Committee, overseeing and signing off on the review process.

Blaise Delaney is our new Physics Editor, he is a JS Theoretical Physics student who has completed research in TCD and received scholarships to work at both University College London on the Dark Energy Survey with the Cosmology Group and at CERN with the LHCb Collaboration. He was also a previous convenor for the School of Mathematics. We are very excited to have Blaise on board this year.

 

 

Kate Reidy is our new Chemistry editor; a JS NPCAM student, Kate was published in the TSSR last year and won the best Freshman prize for her submission. Kate is a foundation Scholar of Trinity College. She completed a research internship in the INano Research Centre in Denmark. Kate is a fantastic addition to the 2015/ 2016 team.

 

 

Amy Worrall is our new Molecular and Cellular Biosciences Editor. Amy brings a wealth of experience to the team having completed a BSc. in Human Health and Disease where she earned a Trinity Gold Medal for her results. Amy then pursued an MSc in Immunology. Amy is also a Scholar of Trinity College Dublin and the current Secretary to the Scholars. She has completed research internships in Trinity, the Karolinska Institute and Harvard University. She is a SF Medicine student and has previous editorial experience with the TSMJ.

 

Sarah Deegan is our new Environmental, Evolutionary and Earth Sciences editor. Sarah is a Senior Sophister Functional Biology Student, Sarah brings invaluable experience to the team having won the UROP Scholarship and completed a research internship at Imperial College London on breast cancer. In her time in college Sarah has also presented to the Bram Stoker Society on Human Evolution, as well as being a Chemistry teacher at the Center for Talented Youth of Ireland.

 

James Orr is our new publications manager responsible for design of the TSSR. James is a JS Zoology student and a scholar of Trinity College. He also serves as Public Relations Officer for Trinity Vincent De Paul and for the Dublin University Zoological Society. We’re really looking forward to seeing James’s work at the launch later this year.

 

 

Alison Hennessy takes over as General Manager for the publication this year with overall responsibility for the production of the journal. Alison, a JS NPCAM student and Intel Women In Technology scholar, has a lot of  experience with a variety of societies and projects within college. We were delighted to find someone with her vision to develop the TSSR even further this year.
